Dr. Kristina S. Weissmüller is Assistant Professor in Public Administration at the Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam, and is currently working on her Habilitation at the University of Bern together with Prof. Dr. Adrian Ritz.

She studied industrial engineering and management in Hamburg, Edinburgh, and Hangzhou (China) and holds a PhD in Business Administration from the University of Hamburg. As an expert for behavioral public administration and management, her research focuses on topics with high societal impact such as public sector corruption, leadership, and the psychological effects of “publicness” on behavior, e.g., regarding managerial decision making, moral licensing and accountability in citizen-state interactions, employee motivation, and strategic negotiation.
