Kosta Shatrov is PhD candidate at University of Bern and at sitem-insel AG. His research focuses on regulatory institutions and international comparisons in health care. Kosta holds a B.Sc. in Economics from the Free University of Berlin and a M.Sc. in Economics from the University of Bayreuth. During his studies he specialized in Health Economics, Institutional Economics, and Econometrics. Before joining the KPM Center of Public Management in 2017, he worked for the Institute for Healthcare Management and Health sciences as well as for the Chair of Marketing and Innovation—both at the University of Bayreuth.
In 2018, Kosta joined the International Collaborative on Costs, Outcomes and Needs in Care (ICCONIC) which is committed to offering novel insights into the health care provision of high-need, high-cost patients. Within the scope of ICCONIC, he is responsible for the collection, preparation, and analytics of the Swiss data.
