Michael Erne holds a bachelor's degree in political science from the University of Bern and studied in the master's program in public management and politics (M.A. PMP, focus on public finance) at the Center for Public Management of the University of Bern and at the IDHEAP in Lausanne. He completed the master's program in 2015. He has been working as a project staff member at the voting advice application “smartvote” since 2010, and in 2013 he took over the role of smartvote's deputy project manager. Since 2018, he is responsible for this project and the related research as project manager.
