Policy Hub

The KPM Policy Hub offers policy research services to external clients, both governmental and non-governmental actors. In recent years, numerous mandates have been carried out on behalf of different authorities and organizations on various policy topics and administrative science issues. Clients have included the Federal Office of Public Health (partly together with the State Secretariat for Economic Affairs SECO, the Swiss Health Promotion Foundation and the Federal Social Insurance Office), the State Secretariat for Migration, the Office for Integration and Social Affairs of the Canton of Bern and the Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation (SDC).

The Policy Hub also serves the university's internal need to translate basic research findings into the logic and language of public policy, thereby collaborating closely with the Ethics and Policy Lab of the MCID at the University of Bern. The KPM Policy Hub is an integral part of the KPM and contributes to the capital function of the University of Bern. It serves internally to network the policy-relevant units of the University of Bern and contributes to the visibility of society-relevant research to the outside world. The target group of the services are administrative units and the political community including NGOs and associations.
