Dr. Peter Schwendener is a lecturer for Financial Policy and Financial Management in the Master PMP. He studied and conducted research at the University of Basel, the London School of Economics, the University of Bern and the University of Madison-Wisconsin. From 1994 to 2005 he was head of the Statistical Office and from 2005 to 2015 head of the Finance Administration of the canton of Basel-Stadt. Since 2015, he has led the "Fiscal Policy, Fiscal Equalisation, Fiscal Statistics" division at the Federal Finance Administration (FFA). In 2019, he additionally assumed the function of deputy director of the FFA. The course will be held jointly with Dr. oec. publ. Serge Gaillard, former director of the FFA.
